Tuesday Tech Tip: Extract files or objects from a PowerPoint 2010/2013 file

PowerPoint 2013 logoHere’s an interesting one I found on the Microsoft Office Site:

If someone sends you a .pptx file that contains embedded media such as a video file, and you’d like to separate that video from the PowerPoint file, just change the .pptx extension to .zip and open the file in your favorite unzipper. Within that file, look for the /ppt folder and the files you’re looking for should be there.
