Did you know that Word 2013 has an Insert Screenshot option? You can find it under the Insert menu. From there you can choose one of your currently open windows, grab all or part of it, and automatically have it inserted into your Word document. Granted, if you’re looking for powerful screenshot creation and editing I’ll still stick with SnagIt, but I can see this coming in quite handy in certain situations.
Michael Sauers is currently the Director of Technology for Do Space in Omaha, NE. Michael has been training librarians in technology for the past twenty years and has also been a public library trustee, a bookstore manager for a library friends group, a reference librarian, serials cataloger, technology consultant, and bookseller since earning his MLS in 1995 from the University at Albany’s School of Information Science and Policy.
