Cop pulls over Black man for going 65 in a 70 MPH zone
From Boing Boing: “This video, posted Feb 18, 2020, depicts a black motorist, Ace Perry, being pulled over by a white police officer. The officer says he was suspicious because Perry was traveling 65 mph in a 70 mph zone. The officer, who identifies himself as deputy Snow, issues Perry with a warning but refuses to tell him what the warning is for.”
Before you see the video let me tell you that I’ve been driving 65 (in the right lane) on I-80 between Lincoln and Omaha five days a week for almost five years now. The speed limit for the vast majority of that drive is 75. I’ve never received as much as a glance from any cop or trooper. Not even a brief follow-behind as if they’re running my plate.
