Throwback Thursday: Management Software for Public Access PCs

Recently I’ve been working on setting up a ton of public access PCs and getting all of the systems to talk to each other when it comes to our ILS, printing software, and computer time management. All of this deals with software “types” I’m familiar with due to my 2003 book The Neal-Schuman Directory of Management Software for Public Access Computers, co-written with my friend Louise Alcorn. Granted, none of the software I’m using today even existed back then, but the issues haven’t changed all that much.
