Help me get a list of magazines included in Google Book Search?

In response to this Google Blog post, and last night’s episode of Uncontrolled Vocabulary, I’m on a quest to get a list of magazine titles out of Google. Here’s my opening salvo sent to, the feedback address for the Google blog. Please feel free to help me out by sending your own e-mail to Google.

Speaking for myself and many other librarians we love the fact that you’re now including magazines in Google Book Search. However, it would be very useful for us if there was a list of indexed titles available. Does such a list exist online and if so where? If not, to whom would we direct such a request?

  1. You probably noticed that I think we should just crowdsource the list. The issue is just where to put it and make it available?

  2. As I said in last night’s UV, I’m not against that in the end but if Google is willing to just post the list if we ask/convince them, they we wouldn’t need to do the work to duplicate something that does already exist, just not publicly. Failing in that mission, I’m all for crowdsourcing it.

  3. Already done this off my own bat – getting the issue amongst my fellow kiwi librarians, will get your post in our discussion list, thanks!
