Michael Sauers is currently the Technology Innovation Librarian for the Nebraska Library Commission in Lincoln, Nebraska and has been training librarians in technology for more than 15 years. Well, we were both actually three months off: If you read the release, the Hitachi won’t go on sale until the end of March. (Note the “both”–I agreed with your prediction.)
I wonder whether Seagate will push to get its 1TB drive on the market earlier?
